As an Office/Program Assistant, I posted internship and job opportunities, event notices, relevant career-related news articles and career center announcements.
During my first summer at the office, I recognized that the office faced a challenge in reaching students due to the decentralized nature of The New School. In response, I implemented a basic social media strategy. In regards to the blog, this meant increasing the number of posts, designing a consistent brand identity and creating original content in the form of reoccurring posts which included:
Gig Dig!, a weekly highlight of opportunities posted on the center's job board
Career Query, Q&A posts that provide job search and career related advice
New Frontiers, interviews with alumni of various schools and majors
